Bio:
Band leader of The Live Oaks, Evan Lanam started his musical days with his elementary school choir and every year they would perform at San Francisco Giants games and compete in local and State wide competitions. Over the years, incorporating the drums and original songs became an essential pairing with his voice. About 20 years later, and a lot of bands--later,  Evan is still performing, but now as the soulful lead-singing-drummer of The Live Oaks, a throwback folk & roll band that was started under an old oak tree in the hills of Oakland, California.  Surrounded by some of his best friends, as well as some most undoubtedly prolific musicians in the Bay Area, The Live Oaks put together a really fun night of rock & roll, americana-roots and soul and can take any stage, room, event, you name it, and make it a perfect evening.

Some notable acts they have played with are The Baseball Project (members of REM), Norman Greenbaum, Larkin Poe,  Jackie Greene,  Chuck Prophet, Shinyribs, Rainbow Girls and many many more at venues like The Independent, Guild Theatre, Felton Music Hall, Cornerstone Music Hall, and Sweetwater Music Hall.
